Today, all of the first and second year students on my course put together a Village Fete event in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust and charities which help people battle leukemia. It was a great afternoon as every had loads of fun going round and having a go on each other’s stalls and also we raised a lot of money to go to a really important cause. Some of my favourite stalls were the Catchphrase stall and the Tattoo Parlour. My group created a bottle throw game in which you had to throw a hoop onto different sized beer bottles, getting different prizes depending on the difficulty of the bottle which the hoop landed on. A lot of people came and had a go and some people came back numerous times as they got a bit competitive. I enjoyed helping out with the event and it was nice to see different years coming together again to work with each other. It was also rewarding to see people enjoying our stall and so giving more money to charity.
